 Brian is stable and, according to his nurse, looking slightly better than yesterday. A new central line was placed at the top of his leg to aid in administering medications. His doctor called later in the day and did confirm a bacterial infection in his bladder and lungs, but assured me that this is part of being in critical condition, that he is being very closely monitored and they have very effective treatments to get the infections under control. Perhaps, the reason why he appears to be doing slightly better today is because he has been on antibiotics and the infections are beginning to clear up?
