 Brian is stable and recovering from the operation he had last night to be removed from the VA ECMO support. His care team would like to begin lowering the amount of IV medication he is receiving to see how his body responds. They would also like to try and reduce the paralytic medication he is on and see if they can eventually get him to the point where he can respond to commands. This is anticipated to take a while. His doctor plans to do another bronchoscopy tomorrow and see if they can clear out any extra mucus that may be resting in his lungs. Overall, a good day.
